MTO has now initiated the Detail Design for the four-laning of Highway 69 from the Magnetawan River northerly to north of Highway 522. This project is a continuation of the Route Planning and Environmental Assessment Study (W.P. 5377-02-00).

This project includes the Detail Design of Highway 69 on a new alignment from just north of the Magnetawan River northerly to 3.9 km north of Highway 522, and the twinning of 1.2 km of the existing Highway 69 southbound lanes. This project also involves the design of two new interchanges at Bekanon Road and Highway 522, and a new forest access road on the west side of existing Highway 69 north of the Highway 522 interchange.

This study is following the approved planning process for a Group 'B' project under the MTO Class Environmental Assessment for Provincial Transportation Facilities (2000).

The purpose of this website is to provide interested parties with access to project information and access to the Project Team that is carrying out this Detail Design.
